Perfect day for some digital picture shooting.
Although it was quite busy with more beachaholics I was able to shoot a picture where a human and its pet (let's call him/her a dogowner) just passed us without any other person in the shot.. I only wish I could really take good pictures :)
And the day ended with some good fresh fish from the favorite stand while hiding from a good down pour..
November 10 Not always time for vacation...So why not virtually visit places? Go to your favorite search engine and whack in some place names you always wanted to visit and watch other people their memories on the Internet by looking at their digital pictures?
Wouldn't it be great if you could stitch them together and get a kind of 3D feel to it?.. walking around where they walked?
Check out then following and see the future potential, http://labs.live.com/photosynth/default.html
Just remember, it's beta!! November 07 This is awesome.. really awesomeJust go to http://search.live.com and choose "the New 3D maps!" option.. install the small package and you will be able to 3d view several cities in Microsofts Virual Earth... I'm impressed..
September 15 Zune zune zune......Sure, sounds like the Mazda commercial that runs here locally (not sure of more countries share the same cemmercial). However... Here it is, more detail and detail and guess what.. more details! Long time no pictureTrue true.. guilty! I have been very busy with work lately that has presented me with some very great and positive challenges. We also sold the house and therefor are frantically looking for a new place to live (have some options!). But going through some old PDA made pictures I found one I thought was worth sharing with you all. Enjoy! April 26 A visitor in the roomEventually we (my colleague Allesandro and me) decided he should go.. did not wanted to pay part of the minibar bill... :)
South africa....Flying in the same timezone, first time ever in a plane for over 10 hours and not having a jetlag... strange experience..
The view we have in the morning from the appartment.. December 10 Finally, a vacation....Aye,
We been on a vacation, just sun and no activities... We went to a resort in Egypt, in Marsa Alam. Nice weather about 30 celsius with a gentle breeze..
During some beachwalk my girlfriend found a shell with a snail still in it and was showing it to me.. I was suspicious and put it down near the water.. checj what actually was in the shell.. <grin>.
Enjoy. September 02 What is next after Google IM?.. Google Purgesorry, but this made me laugh.. read and smile too .. ;-)

Napoleon Dynamite![]() You are Kip Dynamite and you love technology. Which Napoleon Dynamite character are you? brought to you by Quizilla August 04 The Crabpot and Kells..I just had to take my colleague to the Crabpot, last time was 2 years ago so I really looked forward to.. the experience is still the same but the food was just not that great again.. so I like the crab but they had some shrimps that were way overcooked.... oh well.. memories are always better.. right?
So we also went to Kells in Seattle, the irish pub.. they had a very nice daily special with??? Seafood and that was just brilliant.. I will add 2 pictures from both the restaurants..
The picture I added is from a view inside the convention centre down to Pike's market place (quite famous, look it up using MSN Search)..
Ejoy..
August 02 Seattle WA, very good weather... enjoying TechreadyBut I did walk around a bit and made some snapshots using my smartphone.. I choose not to bring my bulky SLR digital camera with me this time but I will during the MVP summit in september. For now I made a funny shot of the space needle just wondering if they made contact yet and when they are ready to take of :D
I also met Joey Tribbiani in Seattle and had a Starbucks coffee with him, here take a look at the picture ;-p
Enjoy.. July 21 Triple shot cappucino.. grande
Hehehehe.. after a day where I ordered 2 times a triple shot cappucino grande they already recognize me.. is it that strange that I actually would like to taste coffee? ah well, the Starbucks I'm talking about is directly beneath the next picture I took from the CNN center inside... there's a foodcourt with all the fast food stuff there, cholesterol ALARM!!. So I also went in the Centennial Park, in this park they have made a few nice honorary statues for all the winners of medals during the Atlanta '96 olympic games, the Dutch took a few nice golden plaques.. and even a few names I have never heard of.. now not beeing a big sports fan that is not surprising. So what is there more to tell? a lot of work today in the airco rooms.. it basically is moving from one airco room to another.. a depressing live that must be.. just think about it... now what about living there but not having any money to buy or run an airco?.. Ah well, enjoy the picture.. July 19 Atlanta - GA... travel, arrival, humid.... shop ;-)Weeeheee.. arrived after a 9 hours flight with a lot of colleagues.. 2 movies on very small displays, Robots and Hitch, Robots I watched and Hitch I already seen so I slept hoping this would help me staying awake till late enough in Atlanta.
Arrival is funny in the US, an alwaya friendly person wanting to know what you are gonna do in the US with a big smile <sarasm??> made the cue take very long untill I finally was in the US to get my suitcase... After you have your suitcase you have to turn it in again and take a subway/train to go to another area to pick up your luggage again. It takes a very long time and is a complete waste of it.. strangely enough everyone is able to get to that area and steel your luggage if they want to.. talk about security.. ah well, done and had it... better get used to it since it always seems to go this way..
Stepping out of the plane in the walkway to the airplane already made me aware of the warmth and humidity, a damp warm blanket wat thrown upon me.. than airco chilling hits you.... after the luggage experience you get out for transportation.. ouch this is warm. too warm.. and humid.. feels like swimming.. :).. quickly grabbed a cab with Ruud to the hotel... check-in time.. guess what? I was set to arrive a day earlier and not anymore in the system, better yet, Ruud was not in the system as well.. getting atendee staff for MGB this was solved in 10 minutes and we decided to drop the luggage and go shopping and some food afterwards..
Lennox market, large... very large.. with all the brands you like for prices we europeans like... and do not forget.. it is 0.8 times the price of Euros.. I at least got me 2 GAP pants..
Writing this it is 5 o'clock in the morning... this is a snapshot I took with the mobile phone (have my camera with me but the dongle does not fit the camera so the shots I took will have to wait till I get home). from the window of my hotel room.. Centennial park in the morning.. from the CNN center in Atanta..
ENJOY! |
